Installation Instructions

Windows

  1. Download the installer file GroutApp_1.5.15_x64-setup.exe
  2. Double-click the installer file to begin installation
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation
  4. Launch Grout from your Start menu or desktop shortcut
  5. Sign in with your account or create a new one

macOS

  1. Download the DMG file GroutApp_1.5.17_universal.dmg
  2. Open the DMG file to mount it
  3. Drag the Grout app to your Applications folder
  4. Right-click (or Control-click) on the app and select "Open" the first time to bypass Gatekeeper
  5. Sign in with your account or create a new one

Troubleshooting

  • Windows SmartScreen Warning: If you see a SmartScreen warning, click "More info" and then "Run anyway". Our application is safe, but Windows may show this warning for new applications.
  • Installation Fails: Try running the installer as Administrator by right-clicking the installer file and selecting "Run as administrator".
  • Application Won't Start: Make sure your system meets the minimum requirements and you have the latest graphics drivers installed.
  • Mac Gatekeeper Warning: If you see "App cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer", right-click (or Control-click) on the app icon and select "Open" from the menu.
  • Mac App Won't Open: In System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> General, click "Open Anyway" to allow the app to run.
