Students move through a map of concepts, not a list of chapters. A concept unlocks only when the ones before it are mastered, and mastery is earned through practice — not by finishing a video. Teachers guide the class, and can rewrite any topic for a single student.

Alpha Learning is live for schools, colleges and coaching institutes on an institution subscription — for students, Guides (faculty) and admins.
Alpha Learning is rolling out to individual GroutApp plans soon. Nothing to switch on yet — it will appear in the app when it reaches your plan.

Four ideas carry the whole module. Each one is enforced by the app, not left to good intentions.
Each curriculum is a map of 20–60 concepts across units, linked by prerequisites. A concept unlocks only when every concept it depends on is mastered, so nobody is pushed into fractions before division holds.
Students prove understanding on graded practice — multiple choice, short answer and numeric items — scored continuously. Watching a lesson counts for nothing on its own.
Faculty see the whole class, record check-ins, set goals and step in where a student is stuck, inactive or below pace.
Mastered concepts come back for review after 3 days, then at growing intervals up to 60 days. Fail a review and the concept returns to learning.
A concept is one skill a student can master in a single 15–45 minute sitting. Everything is built around it.
A short, grade-appropriate lesson that teaches the idea, with proper maths notation where it is needed.
One problem solved step by step, so the student sees the idea applied before they try it.
What to remember, in a few lines, for quick revision later.
A mix of MCQ, short-answer and numeric questions across difficulty levels. Wrong MCQ options are built from real misconceptions, so a guess tells the Guide something.
An optional narrated animation of 4–8 scenes with captions, diagrams, steps and comparisons, each element appearing as the narrator reaches it.
During a session the tutor offers hints, leading questions and similar worked examples grounded in the lesson — but never the final answer to a practice item.
A concept is only marked mastered when a student has shown it consistently — not when they got lucky once.
85%
Mastery score
A continuously updated score that weights recent attempts and drops faster on a wrong answer.
3
Correct in a row
Consistency, not a single good attempt.
4+
Attempts
Enough evidence before a concept is marked mastered.
All three conditions must hold. The next thing a student studies is chosen for them: due reviews first, then unlocked concepts with the lowest score, then syllabus order.
Teachers stop being the bottleneck for every question and start spending their time where it matters.
Mastery, minutes practised, streaks and who needs attention — inactive, stuck or below pace — in one view.

Average mastery, minutes practised over seven days, streaks, explainers watched and a sortable “needs attention” view.
Record what you noticed in a conversation with a student and set goals that feed straight into how their material is written.
Generate a curriculum from a board, grade and subject — or paste your own syllabus — then edit concepts, prerequisites, lessons, practice and animations before you publish.
Schedule life-skills workshops for the afternoons and track attendance alongside academic progress.
Each student gets a day built from focused 25-minute blocks with 5-minute breaks — learn, practise or review — within the minutes your institution sets.
Parents and guardians get read-only progress reports through a separate portal.
A Guide can commission a custom version of any topic for one student. The syllabus, the number of lessons and practice items, and the rigour all stay the same. What changes is the route in.
Rewrite a topic for one student from how they learn and your recent check-ins. They see their version; the rest of the class is unaffected.

What the Guide can describe
Every concept can carry a narrated, captioned animation — a hook, the core idea, a worked example and a recap.

Points, streaks and badges are paid for learning — finishing a session, watching an explainer through, mastering a concept — and never twice for the same event.

Default points — an institution can change them. Badges mark first mastery, 10 and 50 concepts mastered, 7- and 30-day streaks, completed units and more. Minutes a student finishes early come back to them as time back.

A Guide generates a curriculum from any board, grade and subject — CBSE, ICSE, state boards and others. If you paste your own syllabus it is used; otherwise the standard syllabus for that board and grade is assumed. Every concept can be reviewed and edited before it is published.
A concept is mastered when the student’s score reaches 85%, they have answered three in a row correctly, and they have made at least four attempts. Mastered concepts return for spaced review, and a failed review sends the concept back to learning.
No. The tutor gives hints, asks leading questions and works similar — but not identical — examples. It never reveals the final answer to a practice item, and each session has a hint budget (12 by default).
The route, not the destination. A student’s own version keeps the same syllabus scope, lesson and practice counts and rigour; the examples, pacing and wording are chosen from their learner profile, goals and the Guide’s check-ins.
Yes. In the curriculum studio a Guide can edit concept titles, descriptions, difficulty, estimated minutes, prerequisites, lessons, practice items and animation scenes, then regenerate or publish.
